With each new product that Google presents, we need to make a serious privacy trade offs. Do we value our privacy or do we value the ability to search across computers, save and search our email, save and search all of our IM conversations and have a record of all of our search behavior. I struggle, myself, with which is most important, and so far, although I have tried the products, I have removed them from my machine. I value privacy over the convenience.

aren't we going too far ? if Google knows that im looking for a new cell phone, whats the problem, if they know im f*king with my boss, where is the matter?, i'd be worry if they can access to my credit card information. So i won't install the Google Desktop, but i'll continue using my gmail account and searching in google ...
